Smita Vats- Founder - Director, ITIHAAS and team leader
Smita is the founder of ITIHAAS. She strongly advocates Heritage Education at the school level and works with many schools to make tangible and intangible heritage accessible and age-appropriate. She studied Psychology at Delhi University and then went on to do her Masters in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia. After 20 years in documentary film making she founded ITIHAAS. Smita has also been very deeply involved with theatre and has acted at the helm in over 30 major productions. She now brings all her experience and energy to ITIHAAS. She is the strength and spirit behind the organization.

Indira - Content Development
Indira is a teacher and a trained IT professional. Her forte is HR and teacher training. She has worked all over the country as a student facilitator. Indira is an educator and develops creative techniques for students and teachers. Heritage Education for students is her passion.

Suhas - Administration and Logistics
Suhas retired from Air India in 2007 as the Reservations and Ticket Sales manager. While at Air India, she was based at the Head Office in Connaught Place. She has over 30 years of experience in office administration and logistics. She is responsible for all major seminars and symposia, large group events that take place regularly at ITIHAAS. Our last Symposium was held in June 2009.

G.P.Selvam - Technical Advisor
Selvam is our technical advisor. An IT professional and a film editor, he has edited over 200 documentary films. He has experience of 20 years in the field of film, television and IT. He is our senior most web developer and is responsible for the creation and maintenance of our web-site and all IT related work. He has been chief technical advisor to many channels for eg. Network 18, COLOURS.

Mohsin Khan- Chief Liason Officer and Events In-charge
Mohsin is one of the oldest faces of ITIHAAS. He handles deftly, all our communications and liason work. He efficiently manages the office through it’s smooth and rough patches, with a smile that never fades. Has been working with ITIHAAS since 2005.

Shabnam Jehan-
Has a degree in Pharmaceuticals and has an undying love for traditions and heritage. She has been associated on a regular basis with ITIHAAS for the last 4 years. Her presence assures us of the safety of our children. She has been working with ITIHAAS since 2006.

Pankhuri Arora-
Pankhuri has a degree in Bachelors of Education. She is committed to the field of education. She handles our writing of reports, anchors the ITIHAAS newsletter, prepares drafts of our new proposals and will be coordinating with all member schools for Anveshan 2010. She joined ITIHAAS 2 years ago.

Inahita-
Inahita is a graphic designer and works with us on a freelance basis. Has a diploma in Graphic design from NID, Ahmedabad. She has earlier worked with Mail Today. She will be designing the logos, posters, collaterals, certificates and other print matter for ANVESHAN.

Prashant Gautam -
Prashant is one of our earliest students who has interned with ITIHAAS and now come back to work with us. While pursuing an engineering degree in Gwalior he manages to make time to be a part of every event at ITIHAAS.

He is very much a part of the ITIHAAS family. With students like Prashant coming back to ITIHAAS, our work completes a full cycle. Once sensitized to heritage, they carry the torch wherever they go.

Accounts- Janki Sharma,
is our deft accountant, whom nothing escapes. She has a degree in accounting and has been with ITIHAAS for the last 5 years.

Pawan Kumar,
Pawan is one of the oldest faces of ITIHAAS. He has been around since 2004 and has contributed to evolution of the organization. He is in charge of smooth functioning of the office.
